Anddie Chan-Patera, Co-Founder and Principal
Anddie graduated from the Boston Architectural College with a Master’s in Interior Architecture. Anddie founded A SQUARE DESIGN with her long-time friend and former classmate, Angela Zhang. Anddie finds it rewarding and exhilarating working with clients to achieve high quality interior design within a prescribed budget. Anddie’s clients truly appreciate her creativity and innovative design sense, as well as her commitment to ensure all projects meet deadlines and budget.
Anddie is a member of the Architecture Committee of The Neighborhood Association of Back Bay, an Adjunct Faculty at Boston Architectural College, a member of the Boston Architectural College's Alumni Advisory Council, a member of the Board of Directors at The College Club of Boston. Anddie is fluent in Cantonese Chinese, and has a working knowledge of Mandarin Chinese and French.
Angela Zhang, Co-Founder and Principal
Angela started working in the Interior Design industry as a Lighting Designer in China before immigrating to the US. Angela worked on a wide range of interior design projects while attending the Boston Architectural College. One of her class projects was selected by the Dean of Interior Architecture of BAC to represent the school in a National Interior Design Competition. Angela is passionate about design and thrives on the challenges her clients present to her.
Angela is an experienced interior designer with strong skills in the many software systems used in the architecture and design fields, including AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp, Rhino, and 3D Max. Angela holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Architecture from the Boston Architectural College, and an Associate Degree in Mathematics from Springfield Technical Community College. Angela is Adjunct Faculty at Boston Architectural College. Angela is fluent in Mandarin Chinese (speaking and writing).
Caitlin St. Germin, Interior Design Intern
Caitlin is an aspiring interior architect who has a passion for the space around her. The soon to be Endicott College graduate has always found interest in the way people interact with built environments. From a young age, Caitlin developed a special appreciation for the space around her and how it can positively/negatively affect her daily life. After learning what a functional and purposeful space means to her, Caitlin hopes to guide others to find their own definitions of what a successful space means to them. At A Square Design, Caitlin is thrilled to be able to work towards this mission for a wide range of clients everyday.
Yanlin (Elyn) Zhao, Interior Design Intern
Yanlin is a junior in interior design at the Design Institute of San Diego. Yanlin loves design and believes design needs to be explored and innovative. Yanlin enjoys research and learning new things. During the past three years of studying interior design, Yanlin has acquired the knowledge and ability from conceptual design to space planning while perfecting her software skills, including 3D rendering software. Yanlin looks forward to meeting clients and to share her passion for design, and creating a unique space and experience for each of them.
